Meeting opened with a report from Cllr. V Agarwal
He discussed several issues and said he was now dealing with Transport and Flooding at County level both key subjects of interest to Stanwell Moor especially in regard to household insurance
Cllr. Dipak mentioned the car park of the village hall being utilised by UCH as parking for their staff in return they were going to refurbish the Village Hall.
Community payback was going to clean up the yard .
The residents at the meeting were not in favour of the car park being rented out.
K. Flurry brought to our attention the planning application for the demolition of the The Hope Public House and 3 houses being built in its place.
Kath Baker had been in contact with Hacan and it was put the vote to decide should we as a Residents Association join them and the decision was yes with a vote of hands.
John Parrish from Surrey Police spoke about his new position in Stanwell and Stanwell Moor and gave us an insight into how offences are reported. We are all urged to report anything of a suspicious nature that we see as the police cannot act without our help and when reporting ask that the report be logged as a crime.
Kathleen Croft spoke about the Roundabout at Airport Way and Stanwell Moor Road in an effort to get it tided up but to no avail. One company is responsible for the signage but Hillingdon who own it have made no effort to cut back the weeds or make it look presentable in time for people arriving via Heathrow for the Olympics.
Several residents mentioned the horses in the Recreation ground and we agreed to speak to the Council on their behalf.
A petition was handed round from Stanwell seeking more Cameras for both Stanwell and Stanwell Moor further copies of this petition are in the Post Office should anyone want to sign.
AOB Cllr Dipak informed the meeting that the Old Library in Clare road could be turned into a Vet practice.
A letter was read out asking for any information about a former resident of the Moor in the 1930’s. The writer was asking about her Grandfather. Anyone with information about Southern Cottages of that time please could they contact the website.
The meeting ended at 10.00 pm.
